We are thankful!

Good morning, everyone!  Good morning indeed!  So the past couple of weeks have been great.  Nothing too exciting has happened but nothing detrimental has happened either.  Henry is learing so much and we are having more fun together each day.  He still sleeps a lot but I guess that leaves more time for me and my mom.
Don't tell Maggie but I get some fantastic mom AND dad time when she goes to bed.
That couldn't possibly be true, Henry.  I will be discussing this with mom, shortly.
This week, we have tried to remember to be thankful for all the fun we have each and every day.  Mom thinks we need to stop and enjoy all the little moments that make our life, well...AWESOME!
I am thankful for my family.  Near and far.
I am thankful for leaves, playgrounds, paint and music.  I also love everyone of my family members and friends.

We have so much to be thankful for.  Here are a few of our favorites.

I am thankful for Maggie.  She recently helped me through a particularly difficult episode of tummy time.
I am thankful for you too, Henry.  You have really turned my world upside down and I LOVE it!

I am thankful for our Sunday morning runs and the bagels we get afterward.

I am thankful for easy and relaxing days.

I am thankful for my dad and our heart to heart conversations we have while we color.

I am thankful for laughter...

...and I just can't stop!

I am thankful for my mom.  She let's me explore the world.

I am thankful for my "teacher" at the YMCA who helped me make this hat.

We are very thankful that each one of you loves us.  We hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving.  I hear there will be pie!
And milk!
Until next time...

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone!  I hope your Halloween was as "successful" for you as it was for us.  Honestly, Henry is too young  to appreciate this holiday.  He slept through the pumpkin patch.  He couldn't hold his brush to paint a pumpkin.  He didn't mingle during the Halloween party and he slept, big surprise, through trick or treating.
Maggie, my life is good.  I am sorry you feel the need to race around the neighborhood to collect your food.  Mom just feeds me without me having to beg.
Oh, Henry, all you do is beg for food.
Regardless of how I acquired my candy, I ended up with plastic pumpkin full of my favorite treats.  I had the time of my life and I am already thinking about my costume for next year.  This year, I was a snow princess.  I  picked it out myself.
I was a banana.  I did not pick it out myself but I thought it was very nice.  It was warm and I think yellow suits me.
You were lovely, Henry.
Thank you. You were also very beautiful, Maggie.
Thank you.
Well, we are now completely focused on Thanksgiving.  We are starting a project today that involves my leaf collection.  I have a pretty expansive leaf collection and I am extremely excited to see what my mom has planned.  We better go, Henry.  Mom just brought out the paint!  Until next time...

Busy, Busy, Busy...

Happy Thursday, everyone!  I know it is unusual to see a blog from us on a Thursday but we have been so busy with our schedules and activities.  So much has happened! First, I went to the New Jersey Children's Museum with my cousin, Keira.  Henry was unable to attend due to his overall sleepiness and disinterest  in  "things".
I like to think of life as being interested in me.
You would, Henry.
Anyway, we had so much fun.  We played princesses, doctors, firefighters and ballerinas.  Also, there was a GIANT lite brite I found to be the greatest thing in the world (besides the fire truck, of course).  Then my Aunt Megan came to visit.  She is my mom's and my best friend.  Why does everyone have to go back to Texas?  There must be lots of cupcakes and ice cream in Texas.
Given the choice between cupcakes and ice cream, which would you prefer, Maggie?
They are both fantastic.  Just you wait.  Whichever I am eating is the best.
My turn.  I finally have news!  I took a bath.  After all the anticipation, it was awful.  It was cold and wet and lonely.  I was given no toys and frankly, I have seen Maggie bathe and it is a different experience.  I am not sure why I couldn't have bubbles?
You're too wee, Henry. Gosh.
Maggie's turn!  We have really done so much over the past few weeks.  I put on a music show, I watched the Texas Longhorns beat Oklahoma and various other teams, I ate bright blue ice cream that stained my face for days and I played in the rain.  But my favorite event has been visiting the fire station.  Before we went, my mom and I baked the firefighters brownies.  I got to lick the spoon.  Then my mom took me to meet all the firemen.  They gave me my own fire hat!  Firefighter Jason was my favorite.  He held my hand and let me wear his gloves, boots and hat.  I also held his flashlight.  He let me sit in a real fire truck and play with all of the buttons.  When I left, they gave me a goodie bag and they even gave me one for Henry.
Excuse me, where is my goodie bag?
You can't play with anything, Henry!  So I took it.
Understandable.
Well, it is way past our bed time and I must pick out books to read before my mom picks out really short ones.  Good night!  Until next time...

Life as Siblings

Good afternoon and a happy Tuesday to everyone.  Until Henry feels comfortable, I will be writing most of our blog.  To help clarify though, I will be writing in my favorite color, orange.  Henry will be interjecting with the typical boyish hue of blue.  That is, at least until he can see clear enough to have his own favorite color.  We have been slowly adjusting to life with Henry.  I held his hand.
Excuse me, but you hurt my hand.
I am sorry you are so weak, Henry.  But we digress.  We have enjoyed our Grandma and Pop's visit this past week.  Don't you agree, Henry?
You mean they don't live here?
No, they live in Dallas, TX with Granny and Granda and their job is to spoil us when they visit.
So mom won't get us ice cream like Pop does?
HAHAHA!!!  Of course not, Henry.  You have so much to learn.  Well speaking of learning, we are both learning so much these days.  Henry is learning easy things like, where his hands are and when to eat.
Maggie, I have NOT found my hands yet however, I resent your patronizing tone.
Sorry, Henry.
Well, we are off to the library to read books and play with puzzles.
Yeah! Puzzles and books!
Until next time...

Over the last two weeks: I ate pasta, loved it,  I slept, I played in the pool with my dad, I slept at the pool, I watched the UT game, I watched the UT game, I slept more, we visited with grandma and pop, I took a walk, I slept again, we went to Sesame Street Live, and I became a princess!
